Hull City loanee Ola Aina has said that he is confident in his side's ability to beat the drop and that his teammates remain in a buoyant mood following the Easter weekend draw with Aston Villa last time out.

Speaking to the Hull Daily Mail, the youngster was speaking with maturity about the final seven games of the season for Nigel Adkins' men, with the club currently lying in 18th place ahead of a tough fixture against league leaders Wolves tomorrow.

“The team are confident as well. No one has really got it in their mind that we could go down. We’re all good players and I’m sure everyone’s mindset is focused on us staying up. For sure, that’s what we’re going to do.” said Aina.

Hull remain in control of their own fate, sitting six points above the drop zone with seven games remaining, and it will be a case of a job well done for manager Adkins if he can keep the club up after what has been a troubled season all around for the East Yorkshire outift.

The Tigers are still experience problems off the field, but staying in the Championship will at least give some short term stability at the KCom ahead of what could be a crucial summer for the club.
