Hull City are reportedly one of a number of Championship clubs to have been offered Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Rafa Mir.

Mir spent last season on loan at La Liga 2 side Las Palmas, scoring seven times in 30 appearances.

According to Spanish news outlet El Peridoco, Wolves want to send the 22-year-old out on loan again this season, preferably in England, and a number of Championship clubs have been offered the player, with Hull the only side named in the report.

The report suggests that a number of Spanish clubs, including Granada, are also interested in bringing in the Spanish under-21s international.

The Spaniard arrived at Molineux in January 2018 on a four-and-a-half year deal from Valencia but has struggled to break into the first team, making just four senior appearances.

The six-foot-three striker spent time in the Barcelona youth system before making the switch to Valencia.

Hull will need to make a number of additions over the summer with eight players leaving at the end of their contracts and three leaving following the completion of their loan deals.

Given the financial situation at the club, with owner Assem Allam having said he will put no more investment into the club until it is sold, a significant amount of their business will likely be done in the loan market.

Any transfer dealings will likely have to wait until a new manager is appointed.

The Verdict

Mir would be an excellent addition for the Tigers if they can get him.

Dicko is currently the only striker at the club that is contracted past the end of the month and the 22-year-old would bolster their strike force and inject some quality.

A loan move to the Championship to help him get accustomed to English football would probably be best for the Spaniard if he has ambitions of breaking into the Wolves team in the future.
