According to sources close to HITC Sport, Hull City want to sign Josh Windass this summer.
Josh Windass is currently playing for Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premiership but recently relegated outfit Hull City are looking to poach him for their upcoming Championship campaign.
Rangers snapped up Josh Windass on a pre-contract agreement last summer after he lit up League Two with impressive displays for Accrington Stanley.
With Pedro Caixinha very active in the January transfer window, Josh Windass’ future remains uncertain at Ibrox.
Hull City are monitoring his situation and considering a move for the 23-year-old.
The Tigers are hoping that Josh Windass will follow in the footsteps of his father (Dean Windass), who etched himself into Hull City folklore by scoring the winner in the play-off final which saw them promoted to the Premier League for the first time ever.
Whilst Dean was a striker, Josh Windass is a more technical player and his preferred position is central midfield or attacking midfield, although he is versatile enough to also play as a winger.
Windass picked up five assists last season and also scored one goal during his 27 appearances for the Scottish giants.
With a number of League One clubs lurking, Windass is believed to prefer playing at a higher level, meaning that a move to Hull City could be on the cards.
