Hull City are edging closer to completing a double deal for Isaac Success and Jackson Irvine, according to the Hull Daily Mail.

The Tigers look set to complete a deal for Watford striker Success, with a loan deal set to be agreed between the two clubs.

A move for Burton star Irvine though looks to be on a permanent basis, with the clubs in talks to seal a deal for the Scot before the deadline at the end of the coming week.

Hull manager Leonid Slutsky is keen to add new faces to his squad following relegation last season, and despite the club getting off to an excellent start to their Championship campaign, he is keen to build on that with new additions.

The Tigers lost star striker Abel Hernandez to serious injury earlier this month, and it is believed Success could be the ideal replacement for Hernandez on a short term basis over this season.

Burton midfielder Irvine has become one of the standout performers in the Championship since impressing in his debut campaign last season, and his loss will be a bitter blow to Nigel Clough and the Brewers no doubt.
