Hull City have confirmed that free agent, Norbert Balogh, is training with the side, according to Phillip Buckingham.
The striker was released by Palermo at the end of the season and has been on the hunt for a club over the summer. He has been training with the Tigers at their Cottingham training ground as he hopes he can do enough to impress the coaching staff and be awarded a contract.
Saw the name mentioned yesterday and had it confirmed by #hcafc that free agent Norbert Balogh has been training with Grant McCann’s squad. Hungarian forward, formerly of Palermo.

Balogh spent last season in Cyprus on loan at APOEL Nicosia and the forward is versatile across the frontline. He can play either out wide or as an out and out striker. At international level, he has made two appearances for Hungary.
It’ll be interesting to see whether Grant McCann decides to offer Balogh a contract but it wouldn’t be surprising after Nouha Dicko left to join Vitesse Arnhem on loan last week.
McCann will be looking to strengthen his squad after a poor start to the season sees the side sit in 20th place.
It wouldn’t be surprising at all to see Hull City in the market for another striker. They haven’t been in the sort of form that McCann would have hoped for and have won just one league game so far this season.
They sit just outside the relegation zone and will want to change that, as it seems like if Jarrod Bowen doesn’t score, there are very little options for the Tigers to score in open play.
Good strikers are few and far between, but a free agent is often low risk and a worthwhile signing to make if you’re in the position to offer them a contract. It’ll be interesting to see if it works out, and who knows he might be a key man in Hull’s forward line for the rest of the season.
