According to The Hull Daily Mail, Hull City are planning to stand firm and refuse to sell Jarrod Bowen in the January window.

Jarrod Bowen is enjoying a successful breakthrough season at Hull and the winger has been attracted interest from a number of teams, including some Premier League sides.

But while Hull City manager Nigel Adkins admits that every player is for sale at the right price, he has also insisted that the club are in a position where they do not need to offload anyone.

Bowen has been the standout performer for the Tigers this season with ten goals in 21 starts - including a goal in the opening game of the season.

Talking about the interest in the 21-year-old, Nigel Adkins said: "We don’t need to sell him.

“From my point of view, and history would suggest, anything can happen in January.

"Every player has a price. That’s always been proven.

“But I’ve had a good conversation with the owners and we’re not looking to sell players.

"Everyone is under contract. Some are out of contract in the summer but we’re looking to give ourselves an opportunity to keep going.

“You can never say never in the January window but there’s no desire at this moment to sell anyone.”

The Verdict

Bowen is an undoubted talent and Hull's relegation has really brought out the best in their youngster.

The versatile attacker clearly has an eye for goal and he could develop into a top flight footballer if he continues to perform like this.

But he would also be best advised to stay where he is because he is familiar with the players, fans and staff at Hull and is being given good opportunities in a starring role.
