It's been a busy day for Hull City but things are only just getting started.

Kamil Grosicki has completed his permanent switch to West Brom while Jarrod Bowen is in talks with West Ham United regarding a £20million move to the London club.

But with two players on the way out, the Tigers are keen to strengthen.

Marcus Maddison has joined the club from Peterborough United, but Grant McCann's side are closing in on a deal for another attacking player.

According to the Daily Mail, Hull City have agreed a deal for James Scott.

The Motherwell forward is heading to the KCOM Stadium after the two clubs agreed a £1.5mullion fee for the forward.

The 19-year-old has been capped by Scotland under-21s and could go straight into Grant McCann's squad if a move can be finalised.

The verdict

Hull City are not wasting any time as they face a double transfer blow.

Losing Kamil Grosicki was a big loss, while Jarrod Bowen's imminent move to West Ham threatens to leave Grant McCann's side short of options.

However the signing of Marcus Maddison - along with the reported progress regarding James Scott - it seems that the Tigers are doing everything right as they look to bounce back from the double departure.

If they can get anywhere near Grosicki and Bowen in terms of impact, I'm sure the Hull City fans will be delighted.
