Championship duo Hull City and QPR are just two of the teams who are interested in signing Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis this summer.

According to a report from the Mirror's live transfer blog, Davis is a wanted man this summer thanks to Villa's promotion potentially pushing him down the pecking order, and it would appear that there are no shortage of suitors for the youngster.

Along with Hull and the R's, it is also believed that Swansea City and Preston are keen on landing Davis, who has been impressive for the England under-20s and played his part last season in helping Villa get over the line and win promotion back to the top flight.

However, the top flight might well be Davis' undoing for now, with the Villans set to splash the cash this summer on new arrivals in the hope of cementing their place back in the Premier League and avoiding any threat of an immediate drop back into the second tier.

Davis might well be keen on a move to the Championship for some regular game time as he looks to develop further and prove he can indeed be the goalscorer Villa can call upon in years to come.

Manager Dean Smith is a big fan of Davis, but could well sanction a move to the benefit of all parties if he does indeed capture his summer transfer targets.

The Verdict

This is a move which makes sense and would be a shrewd piece of business for all the clubs who are being linked with him at the moment.

Davis has so much to offer but he is going to need game time in order to show his potential and ability.

All four clubs mentioned would give him that game time, and it means we might finally get to see the very best of the talented youngster heading into next season.
