Nottingham Forest have confirmed the additions of two new coaches, Nick Colgan and Steven Reid, which has drawn a positive response from fans of the East Midlands club.

With the transfer window now closed, the full focus will shift back to turning around the Reds' recent poor form as Chris Hughton's tenure begins on the pitch.

The new Forest boss took charge last week but appears changes are still being made to his backroom staff.

The club announced earlier today that both Reid and Colgan have joined Hughton's first-team coaching staff.

The latter joins from Wigan and will be the Reds' goalkeeping coach, while Reid has been appointed as first-team coach and will combine that role with his work in the Scotland set up.

Colgan made more than 300 appearances in a 20-year career as a player, featuring for the likes of Chelsea, Hibs and Barnsley, before taking up a coaching role at Huddersfield Town and moving to Wigan three years ago.

Reid, who made more than 350 appearances in English football, has previous coaching experience with Reading, Crystal Palace, and West Bromwich Albion.

Do Nottingham Forest and Derby County have these 10 things in common?
