Plenty of Coventry City supporters have been hailing the long-awaited news that the club will be returning to the Ricoh Arena from next season.
The Sky Blues have been having to play their home matches at St Andrews for the past two seasons, with Mark Robins’ side defying that issue by going on and securing promotion to the Championship last term. While the absence of supporters inside their temporary home has also provided unique challenge for them this time around as they aim to secure their status in the English second tier.
Uncertainty over the Sky Blues’ home has been a constant issue for a number of years now, with them having had a spell playing their home games at Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium. The club has been heading in the right direction on the field under Robins and is now deserving of a home once again.
The club have confirmed on their official website on Wednesday that the Sky Blues have agreed a ten-year deal with Wasps Group that will see them once again play their home matches at the Ricoh Arena from the 2021/22 season. Fans could even be set to make a return to stadiums in time for their first game back there next campaign.
Many Coventry fans were understandably emotional over the news and have been quick to share their delight over finally having a settled home once again.

Waited a long time for this.
All the emotions. It's right for #SkyBlues to play at home in a stadium that was made for them. It's sad that those no longer here couldn't share this day.
That being said I can't wait to go to a few games with my dad to just make memories! 💙 #pusb https://t.co/1uuFDRIykt
