Derby County are in the throes of a slump at a crucial time in the Championship season, having lost their last three outings ahead of the visit of Wigan Athletic tonight to Pride Park.

Chelsea loan midfielder Mason Mount has been an absentee since picking up a muscle injury in the FA Cup against Accrington back at the end of January.

In a recent update on the club website, it confirmed that Mount is not ready for a return to first team action, despite being back in training.

So how much of a miss has Mount been for Derby?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"What a miss he’s been for the Rams.

"Mount’s creativity and eye for goal were one of the main reasons as to why Derby were challenging for a top six finish.

"Since he’s been out of the team, they have looked like a team void of any confidence and they need him back ASAP."

Gary Hutchinson

“Huge miss.

“They’ve lacked creativity and spark without him and Wilson.

“If I were a Derby fan I’d be panicking.

“They need a big summer.”

Jay Taylor

“I think they have lacked a whole load of creativity in recent weeks.

“Without Mount, Derby have faltered, and him returning will be the difference to them making the play-offs or not.

“The sooner he comes back, the better.”
