West Bromwich Albion will be without midfield duo Romaine Sawyers and Jake Livermore for their game against Sheffield Wednesday after the international break, leaving many Baggies fans worried.
The pair picked up yellow cards in yesterday’s 1-0 win against Hull City, meaning they will both serve a one-match ban after hitting the yellow card threshold.
West Brom came out on top in a tight clash at the KCOM Stadium, with Livermore’s 28th-minute strike securing the three points for the visitors.
Will the Baggies get promoted this season?
The result means Slaven Bilic’s side head into the international break two points clear at the top of the Championship.
The break means that the Croatian coach will have 13 days to work out how to cope with the absence of his key midfield duo against Wednesday.
Sawyers and Livermore have played every minute of every game so far for the Baggies and have been key to their early-season success.
Sawyers joined from Brentford in the summer and averages the most passes at the highest success rate in the side, according to Whoscored.
Club captain Livermore brings some vital experience to the side, with more than 300 appearances under his belt in the top two divisions of English football.
Their suspensions appear to have worried many West Brom fans, who took to Twitter to express their concern.

Big test for us will be against Sheff Wednesday with both Livermore and Sawyers out, we will then see what this team is about. Personally I wouldn't put Ajayi in DM role, this defence is already solid, changing it would only unsettle him and the defence #wba

Excellent Win. Livermore and Sawyers missing next game is a huge blow tho. Let's see our strength in depth. #WBA

Sawyers and Livermore will be a big miss for the game against Sheffield Wednesday, they’ve been so instrumental for some of the wins we’ve had this season. Could see Slav going to a 4-5-1/4-1-4-1 and playing brunt in holding midfield with Krov and pereira in front of him. #wba

Wednesday at home is one of those games where we are guaranteed to lose, no Sawyers, no Livermore. Big statement if we win that one. #wba

What a win for the Albion again. Going into the last international break still top of the pile. Will be worrying playing without Sawyers and Livermore against Sheffield Wednesday but onwards and upwards! #WBA

It's scary how comfortable we are. I worry about the next game without Sawyers and Livermore but on we go. Imagine if we had a goalscorer 👀 #wba

Yep I’d definitely go with a 3 man midfield next game, asking a lot of the replacements to do the job of sawyers and Livermore.
