West Bromwich Albion will be without midfield duo Romaine Sawyers and Jake Livermore for their game against Sheffield Wednesday after the international break, leaving many Baggies fans worried.

The pair picked up yellow cards in yesterday's 1-0 win against Hull City, meaning they will both serve a one-match ban after hitting the yellow card threshold.

West Brom came out on top in a tight clash at the KCOM Stadium, with Livermore's 28th-minute strike securing the three points for the visitors.

The result means Slaven Bilic's side head into the international break two points clear at the top of the Championship.

The break means that the Croatian coach will have 13 days to work out how to cope with the absence of his key midfield duo against Wednesday.

Sawyers and Livermore have played every minute of every game so far for the Baggies and have been key to their early-season success.

Sawyers joined from Brentford in the summer and averages the most passes at the highest success rate in the side, according to Whoscored.

Club captain Livermore brings some vital experience to the side, with more than 300 appearances under his belt in the top two divisions of English football.

Their suspensions appear to have worried many West Brom fans, who took to Twitter to express their concern.
