Fulham have suffered a major blow in their push for promotion as it's been revealed on loan winger Sheyi Ojo suffered a serious shoulder injury in the win over QPR last night.

In a report by West London Sport, Cottagers manager Slavisa Jokanovic confirmed that the injury was 'some sort of dislocation'.

The news will be a bitter blow to both Ojo and Fulham, who had begun to start seeing the best of the Liverpool man following his summer move to Craven Cottage.

However, a shoulder injury like this one is never somthing which heels quick, and Ojo will likely miss at least a few weeks of action for Jokanovics' men. The Fulham manager bemoaned his luck this season with injuries, but did say he was hoping to see some of his stars return following the international break.

Fulham's win at Loftus Road last night moved the club up to 8th in the table, just one point shy of a playoff spot.

The Verdict

Ojo's loss will be a big one for Fulham. The youngster was just beginning to come into his own at the club and it is a bitter blow for the player and his manager.

However, the international break gives Jokanovic time to recoup and assess his options, and it might be that Ojo's injury is not as serious as first thought.
