Huddersfield Town are not plotting a reunion with former midfielder Kasey Palmer this month, per YorkshireLive.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who currently plies his trade with the Terriers' league rivals Bristol City, is out of favour at Ashton Gate and is seeking a move away from the Robins in the current transfer window.

Queens Park Rangers were thought to be in talks for the ex-Chelsea man, but West London Sport are of the belief that Palmer will not be heading to the West London outfit.

According to Bristol World, Huddersfield are one of a number of Championship clubs keeping tabs on Palmer's situation and were said to be interested in making a move for their former loanee, who played 32 times for the Yorkshire side in his year-and-a-half at the John Smith's Stadium.

But this month's links to Palmer have been shut down by local reports, which have indicated that the attacking midfielder is not on Carlos Corberan's shortlist of potential additions and business is expected to be minimal at the club.

The Verdict

Palmer was a real hit at Huddersfield in his first spell at the club on loan from Chelsea.

He was part of a promotion-winning side at the Terriers but he couldn't find his feet in the Premier League and eventually headed back to Stamford Bridge before going on several other Championship loans.

Now out of favour at Ashton Gate, Palmer needs to find his feet somewhere else to fulfil his potential.

That seemingly won't be back at Huddersfield though - unless something drastically changes between now and the end of January.
