Huddersfield Town star Izzy Brown is hopeful he can earn himself a chance with parent-club Chelsea in the future, reports the Huddersfield Daily Examiner.
Brown joined the Terriers on-loan from Chelsea during the January transfer window, having previously spent the first-half of the season across Yorkshire with Rotherham United.
Since arriving at the John Smith’s Stadium, Brown has impressed for David Wagner’s side, helping them to third in the Sky Bet Championship, and in the hunt for automatic promotion.
Despite stating he is committed to helping Town to the top-flight, and possibly playing for them there, Brown hopes to earn a chance with the Premier League leaders, he said: “If you work hard and always give the best you can you’ll get a chance.
“When that chance comes you have to be ready and take it – if you don’t, you can’t complain because you didn’t take it.”
Brown has bagged four goals since arriving at Town, and is likely to play a major role for Wagner’s side as they look to secure an unlikely promotion between now and the end of the season.
Wagner’s side face Bristol City on Friday night, where victory at Ashton Gate will see the Terriers narrow the gap to the automatic promotion places to just three-points, ahead of Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion’s fixtures on Saturday.
