Huddersfield Town host Luton Town this afternoon in the Sky Bet Championship.

Carlos Corberan's side are looking to head into the international break with a win, whilst Luton are hoping to add to their promising start under Nathan Jones.

Football League World will be in place at the John Smith's Stadium from 1:30pm, but for now we've pieced together a short preview piece for you to get your teeth into.

The story so far

Huddersfield entered the weekend in 15th, with 13 points on the board so far under Corberan.

They've picked up the scalp of Swansea and Millwall on the road, whilst they've beaten Derby and Nottingham Forest at home. However, in their last two home games, they've thrown away a lead to lose to Preston and Bristol City, with Corberan scratching his head looking for a little bit of consistency.

Entering the weekend in ninth, the search for consistency is on Jones' agenda too.

Luton have 16 points and are better off than Huddersfield at this stage, with the Hatters winning 1-0 at Rotherham during the week.

Team news

Danny Ward could feature in the Huddersfield squad, as could Juninho Bacuna, who missed Tuesday's defeat to Bristol City.

Alex Pritchard has joined Tommy Elphick on the sidelines, whilst Alex Vallejo isn't quite ready yet to debut.

Dan Potts is on the sidelines for Luton, but Jones could welcome back Rhys Norrington-Davis as his side look for a Yorkshire double heading into the November international break.

Previous meetings

Luton had the better of Huddersfield in both these fixtures last season.

Both were managed by different men when they met back in August 2019, with James Collins and Andrew Shinnie scoring in a 2-1 win for Graeme Jones over Jan Siewert.

The reverse fixture, behind closed doors, saw Luton win 2-0 at Huddersfield.

Nathan Jones was back in the dugout then, getting the better of Danny Cowley.
