Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Jonas Lossl from Everton.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has rejoined the Terriers on a loan deal that will run until the end of the season.

Lossl has struggled to establish himself as Everton's number one goalkeeper since arriving at the club on a free transfer over the summer following a two-year spell at The John Smith Stadium.

Huddersfield were keen to sign a goalkeeper following the head injury suffered by Kamil Grabara, and Danny Cowley has expressed his delight at the deal.

Speaking to the Huddersfield Town website, Cowley said: "Huddersfield Town supporters won’t need me to introduce Jonas.

"We are delighted to be able to bring him back to the Club.

“From the first moment we spoke, his affinity with the Club and the supporters was obvious; this is very important to us.

“There was a real desire to come and help the team and the squad and a huge motivation to play regular football.

“He brings a wealth of experience, he’s a good communicator and had outstanding distribution skills.”

Can you name Huddersfield Town's last 15 player of the year winners? Let's find out!

The verdict

This is outstanding piece of business for Huddersfield Town.

Jonas Lossl is a real fans' favourite at The John Smith Stadium with supporters gutted to see him move on last summer.

Things haven't really gone to plan at Everton and so it seems that this is a move to allow him to play regular first team football once again.

For Huddersfield, it could be exactly the sort of boost that they need going into the final third of the season.
