Skybet Championship side Huddersfield Town are set to sign Red Bull Leipzig striker Terrence Boyd, according to the German publication Bild.
The 25-year-old striker was linked with Huddersfield Town earlier in the transfer window as David Wagner sought to bolster the striking options at the West Yorkshire club.
Boyd could potentially be reunited with David Wagner, where was managed by the German at Bundesliga 2 side Borussia Dortmund II.
In the 2011-2012 season, Boyd had his most prolific season to date, scoring twenty times in thirty-two appearances for David Wagner’s side. Since then, Boyd – who has been capped 14 times for the United States – has struggled with injuries which have stagnated his career after he joined Red Bull Leipzig.
However, it now appears that David Wagner will be reunited with the striker when he is expected to join the Terriers on a two and half-year deal.
Huddersfield fans, what do you make of the news? Would you like to see Terrence Boyd join your side? Is he the alternative option that has been lacking this season?
