Huddersfield Town are considering bringing in Joseph Dodoo on loan to the club from Leicester City, according to TeamTalk.
David Wagner will be hoping that he can prise the young talent away from the King Power Stadium for the remainder of the season.
Dodoo took the spotlight during Leicester’s Capital One Cup campaign scoring a hat-trick against Bury, and also scoring in the following round against West Ham United.
Since then, Dodoo has spent time out on loan at Bury but with Leicester’s focus firmly on the Premier League title, Dodoo’s hopes of achieving regular first-team football at the club are slim to near impossible.
Claudio Ranieri, therefore, may look to loan the youngster out at a higher level with Huddersfield Town being one potential option.
Although a number of Football League sides have shown interest, with Huddersfield forging a relationship of developing some of Leicester’s excellent youth stars such as Ben Chilwell who had a successful loan spell at the club, Ranieri may trust Huddersfield as a safe haven for his young talent to develop under the tutorship of David Wagner.
With Hiwula loaned to Walsall and Ishmael Miller failing to make any sort of impact under Wagner, a striker as cover for Wells or simply as competition is vital for Huddersfield and Dodoo would be an exciting raw option for Wagner to have at his disposal.
Huddersfield fans….. What do you think of the news? Do you think Dodoo would be a good signing? Potentially one to sign permanently in the future if given the chance? Let us know your thoughts and opinions below!
