Huddersfield Town’s Jonathan Hogg has insisted it is too early to rule the Terriers out of the race for automatic promotion in the Sky Bet Championship, reports West Yorkshire Sport.

David Wagner’s side are currently third in the Championship table, nine-points behind second-placed Brighton and Hove Albion and ten behind leaders Newcastle United.

Hogg surprisingly returned from a worrying neck injury for Town’s 3-0 victory over Norwich City on Wednesday evening, a result which kept Town in the race for the top-two.

Town have seven fixtures remaining this season, one more than their promotion rivals, and continue their run-in on Saturday afternoon with a trip to relegation threatened Nottingham Forest.

Mark Warburton has not picked up a victory since his appointment at the City Ground, and will be desperate for three-points against Town this weekend, as he looks to guide Forest clear of the relegation zone.
