Huddersfield Town not in for Leeds United’s Matt Smith

Published

on

Contrary to reports, Huddersfield Town have confirmed they are not in the hunt for Matt Smith.

It is believed that Leeds United are willing to offload Smith but Huddersfield are not among those interested in the former Oldham striker.

The Terriers are looking for a big striker to support Nakhi Wells. However, Matt Smith has been ruled out as a potential target.

The 24-year-old enjoyed an impressive first season with Leeds as he scored 13 goals in 43 games.

Leeds could extend the striker’s contract in the coming weeks if an offer doesn’t come in. He only has a year left on his deal and another good season could see his value rise.
