Huddersfield Town striker Karlan Grant has delivered his post-match thoughts after his two goals helped thrash his former side Charlton 4-0 at The John Smith's Stadium on Saturday.

Grant made the move from The Valley up north back in January 2019 and was clearly very happy to put in the display he did, shushing the travelling fans after receiving abuse from a section of them throughout the game.

Taking to Twitter and posting a photograph of him celebrating, he wrote simply: "Job done. 4 goals. & first brace of the season".

QUIZ: Can you name the entire Huddersfield Town XI from their Play-Off final win in 2017?

The Addicks came into this one hoping to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Sheffield Wednesday in midweek but instead found themselves 1-0 down at half-time to their fellow relegation candidates, former striker Karlan Grant pouncing on Deji Oshilaja's poor pass in the 25th minute.

Bowyer's men threatened to get back into the game in the second-half but fell further behind in the 75th minute, Steve Mounie converting Harry Toffolo's cross to make it two.

As the match entered injury time there was still time for two more Terriers' goals, first Grant netting from a Juninho Bacuna through ball before Bacuna himself made it four in the 94th minute.

The verdict

It may look bad on the surface but I think Grant had every right to give a bit back to the Charlton fans after being on the receiving end of their taunts throughout the match and in the reverse fixture.

I am sure he still has a lot of love for The Addicks but in the heat of the moment the fans have got to respect some back when they give it out, in my opinion.
