Danny Cowley has provided a positive injury update ahead of the clash with Cardiff City.

The Terriers will be hoping to make it back-to-back victories in the Championship after their 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at the weekend.

However with the Bluebirds on a run of 10 games without defeat, the West Yorkshire side will be pleased with the imminent return of three star players.

Karlan Grant is expected to return for the clash with Cardiff City.

The striker missed the clash with QPR after a training ground collision with Christopher Schindler saw him ruled out with a rib injury.

But after being left out of the matchday squad as a precaution, Grant should be back in contention for the match with the Bluebirds.

Danny Cowley also confirmed that Kamil Grabara and Alex Pritchard are back in full training.

The Liverpool loanee has been out of action since the Hull City clash after suffering a nasty blow to the head, while Pritchard has been suffering with a long-term knee injury.

While neither player is likely to feature against Cardiff City, the hope is that both players will be fit to return in the coming weeks.

The verdict

Danny Cowley's injury update is a huge plus for Huddersfield Town.

Despite getting the victory over Queens Park Rangers, the absence of Karlan Grant was certainly a big one and everyone will be delighted to see him back in action against the Bluebirds.

As for Alex Pritchard and Kamil Grabara, the news of such progress is really reassuring.

Both players have struggled with worrying injuries and to see them back on the road to recovery is a massive boost.
