Huddersfield Town have announced that Rarmani Edmonds-Green has left the club to join Vanarama National League side Bromley until January 2020.

The Terriers have recently appointed Danny Cowley as their new manager and have moved to within touching distance of moving outside of the relegation zone in recent weeks.

In an interview with the club's official website, Cowley labelled the move as a "really good stepping-stone", and is keen to see how he develops in senior football as this year's campaign progresses.

"Rarmani is a great kid and has made huge strides in his development as a footballer recently. He’s physically good and that allows him to be an aggressive, front-foot defender.

"We know Bromley really well as a Club, in particular the Chairman and the Manager, Neil Smith. We know that Rarmani will be properly looked after there, which is important to us.

"This loan move will be a really good stepping-stone for ‘Rams’ as he develops into the footballer that we believe he can be."

Edmonds-Green made his debut for the Huddersfield first team earlier this season, and was a rare bright spark in a disappointing defeat to Lincoln City, which saw them crash out of the Carabao Cup.

But with Huddersfield showing improvement in recent weeks under Danny Cowley, the likes of Tommy Elphick and Christopher Schindler were likely to keep the Terriers youngster out of the first team picture.

Edmonds-Green could be in line to make his debut for Bromley when they take on FC Halifax this weekend, whilst Huddersfield take on Barnsley.

The Verdict:

This is the best move for both parties involved.

Edmonds-Green isn't going to be featuring anytime soon for the Huddersfield first team, so the club have made a smart move in loaning him out until the New Year.

They'll be hoping that he can come back a bigger and better player that has benefitted from having senior appearances under his belt.
