Huddersfield Town confirm details of fresh agreement with 22-year-old

Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of midfielder David Kasumu from MK Dons, the Championship club have confirmed.

Kasumu has spent all of his senior career to date with the Dons, making a total of 93 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring once.

However, the 22-year-old has now headed for pastures new this summer, as he gets set for his first chance to prove himself in the Championship.

Are these 20 statements about former Huddersfield Town players true or false?

It has now been announced that Huddersfield have completed the signing of the midfielder on a permanent deal, joining for an undisclosed fee, with the Dons due compensation due to his age, despite his cotract expiring this summer.

Having completed that move, Kasumu has signed a three-year contract with the Terriers, who have the option to extend that deal by a further year, effectively securing his future at the John Smith’s Stadium until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Kasumu has become Huddersfield’s second senior signing of the summer transfer window, following centre back Will Boyle, who joined the club on a free transfer from Cheltenham Town last month.

The Verdict

This does look as though it could be a rather good signing for Huddersfield.

With the likes of Reece Brown, Alex Vallejo and Carel Eiting leaving the club earlier this summer, the Terriers arguably needed to add to their midfield options during the transfer window.

That is something they have done with the signing of Kasumu, who ought to fit in well with the style of play employed by Terriers boss Carlos Corberan.

At 22-years-old, Kasumu could be an option for Huddersfield for many years to come, meaning this looks a smart piece of business from the Championship club.
