Dean Hoyle is expecting a “frantic” end to the Sky Bet Championship season, reports the Yorkshire Post.

The Huddersfield Town chairman is sure to cut nervous figure in the coming weeks, as David Wagner aims to lead the club to the top-flight for the first time since 1972.

Wagner’ side are currently third in the Championship table, and are just six-points behind the automatic promotion places with nine fixtures of the season remaining.

Town have a game in-hand over their promotion rivals, which is set to take place on April 25th, when they visit Molineux to play Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Revealing what he expects in the final two months of the season, Hoyle said: “It is going to be frantic. There will be twists and turns.

“I would say the top two in Brighton and Newcastle are expecting to now get promoted. But, if we win our game in hand, we will be three points behind Brighton, four behind Newcastle. That would leave us with a chance.

“Are we good enough to take advantage if the opportunity does come along? We are about to find out.”

Following this week’s international break, Town face Burton Albion, before welcoming Norwich City to the John Smith’s Stadium, in what will be a difficult five days for Wagner’s side.
