David Wagner has admitted if Huddersfield Town reach the Sky Bet Championshipâs Play-Offs this season, it will be one of the biggest achievements in the clubâs recent history, reports the clubâs official Twitter account.
Town have surprised many this season, staging an unlikely promotion push, and with just seven-fixtures of the season remaining, Wagnerâs side are third in the Championship table, ten-points clear of seventh-placed Fulham.
With Town edging closer to securing a top-six finish, Wagner said: âIf we reach the Play-Offs, it will be one of the biggest achievements for this club in a number of years."
Wednesday nightâs 3-0 victory over Norwich City moved Town back within nine-points of Brighton and Hove Albion, who sit second, keeping alive the clubâs automatic promotion hopes.
Wagnerâs side have a game-in-hand over Brighton, and will be looking to close the gap to the Seagulls in the coming weeks.
Town face the first of their remaining seven opponents on Saturday afternoon, when they travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest.
