Speaking to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, Michael Hefele has delivered a warning to Huddersfield Town’s Play-Off rivals, insisting the Terriers are still hungry for promotion.

David Wagner’s side have surprised many this season by finishing in the Sky Bet Championship’s top-six, but despite their already impressive achievements, Hefele is aiming for the Premier League, he said: “We all want to play at the highest level and I have dreamed a little bit of getting promotion.

“We haven't got it automatically but we have still surprised many in the country.

“We have proved our critics wrong - we are a very good team and we are still hungry and greedy to make it to the top.”

Town were the first club to qualify for the Play-Offs, after they recorded a 1-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers last Tuesday.

Since then, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday have joined Wagner’s side in securing a top-six finish, whilst Fulham are set to complete the Play-Off line-up by finishing sixth.

Wagner’s side face Cardiff City on Sunday, where they will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s disappointing defeat to Birmingham City and gain some momentum heading into the Play-Off semi-finals.
