Huddersfield Town got another win under their belts this weekend as they saw off Hull City at home.

A 3-0 win was more than deserved for the Terriers, and new manager Danny Cowley will have been delighted to see his team get among the goals and put on a match-winning display in front of their home fans.

And on-loan midfielder Trevor Chalobah, who played a key role in the game yesterday, was full of praise for the new management team, crediting them with turning things around for the club.

"They (the Cowleys) have come in and changed the way we play. I think all the boys are loving it. As a new player and a loan player coming in, I just wanted to show what I've got and to work hard for the team." Chalobah told the Huddersfield Examiner.

Chalobah has become a key figure in the first XI under Cowley and was involved in some excellent midfield play yesterday as they easily overcame the Tigers in the end.

“The new manager has always given us confidence on the pitch and it’s all about getting that self-belief,” he added.

"It's important to keep our feet on the ground and not get too ahead of ourselves. I think hard work will get us through games, the fight, the grit and everything else, that's what we need in every game, that's what the fans want."

The win for the Terriers meant it was two on the bounce in the space of a week after they went to Stoke in midweek and won out 1-0 at the Bet365 Stadium.

Manager Cowley, who only took over last month following an impressive spell with Lincoln City, will be hoping to turn the fortunes around of the club after a shocking start to the season saw the previous manager Jan Siewart relieved of his managerial duties.

The Verdict

Cowley has clearly had an impact already and it's so obvious from Chalobah's upbeat comments that things are on the up.

As long as the Huddersfield players keep their heads down and keep working hard as he says, then results should flow.
