Christopher Schindler has stated that Huddersfield can be happy with themselves after Danny Cowley's start to life at the Terriers.

It's been a mixed bag of results, but Cowley has now put together a good run of form for the Terriers and they're unbeaten in their last three fixtures.

Cowley's side beat Hull 3-0 last Saturday, which backed up a brilliant away win at Stoke in midweek and the two clean sheets were much needed after a quite awful start to the season.

Huddersfield are currently in their first campaign back in the Championship after being relegated from the Premier League. Schindler has insisted that everything feels different on the pitch now and that the club can be happy for the moment.

Speaking to htafc.com, Schindler said: “It feels different on the pitch now, it feels solid.

“There’s a base where everybody knows what to do, especially in the defensive shape.

“We are harder to break down, we deflect the crosses a lot better now, but we shouldn’t get too carried away by this because we know how hard we worked to have this run and how much we suffered in the first weeks.

“We have a lot to improve but we can be happy now for the moment.”

The Verdict

There's a lot of hope now at Huddersfield, and there seems to have been a massive improvement over a short space of time.

Schindler eludes to it in his comments, and it's clear to see that the team have now been given a solid base to work with, which was exactly what was needed after a quite demoralising relegation last season, and poor start to this one.

Huddersfield now need to carry on this form and just keep building and see where it takes them. If you look at the squad that Cowley has, then it is actually a very good Championship team. Players such as Alex Pritchard and Terence Kongolo could still be playing in the Premier League, but Cowley now has to get them motivated to achieve great things for the Terriers.
