There were murmurs that the West Yorkshire club were looking at the Portuguese playmaker during the January transfer window but, due to injuries, Liverpool were unwilling to let him go out on loan.

The young starlet has featured for Liverpool in their FA Cup campaign but with Klopp's side going out to West Ham, there are no cup competitions for Teixeira to feature in other than the Capital One Cup final and potentially the Europa League.

There has been a lot made of David Wagner's relationship with Jurgen Klopp as both Germans came to English clubs in the same season and are constantly in contact with each other however Klopp has yet to loan out any players to the West Yorkshire club.

With Joao Teixeira in need of playing time and to gain some invaluable experience, he may look to go out on loan again. Although he spent time out at Brighton & Hove Albion last season where he was impressive until he tragically broke his leg against Huddersfield at the Amex stadium, Huddersfield would be the better option.

With David Wagner attempting to replicate Klopp's 'full throttle' football, Teixeira would be moving to a club where he would settle in quickly and would instantaneously understand Wagner's footballing philosophy as it'd be very similar to what he had been doing at Liverpool.

It would also provide Jurgen Klopp with the security that David Wagner developed young players for him at Dortmund and could again under different circumstances at Huddersfield.

For Huddersfield, they'd be receiving a bright talented young player with an eagerness to play and in Huddersfield's open expansive possession-heavy football, he'd thrive in the number 10 spot behind Nahki Wells in the 4-2-3-1 formation.

It would be harsh for fellow loanee Jamie Paterson who has been superb for the Terriers but Joao Teixeira would add the class and quality that Huddersfield needs to be move from a resurgent mid-table side to one that could be challenging for a top 10 finish.

Huddersfield fans…Would you like to see Teixeira at the club? Would be provide the cutting edge in the final third that has sometimes been lacking? Would he be the ambitious type of signing the club needs to make? Let know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
