Scannell was substituted off on the 66th minute after being forced off by illness in the 3-2 away loss at Derby last night.

The Yorkshire club are without second-choice goalkeeper Joe Murphy who is also suffering from illness. Midfielder Jonathan Hogg is a doubt when they travel to London on Saturday.

Powell says the substitutes that came on last night at the iPro Stadium haven’t had much game time because of the side being in such good form, but the former Derby County player was happy to see Radi Majewski, Martin Paterson and Danny Ward on the pitch.

Talking to the Huddersfield Examiner, Powell said ”People like Wardy, Radi and Martin Paterson haven’t had much game time because the lads in the side have been doing the business. I brought them on to have a look at them, and maybe save one of two legs ahead of Saturday, because it’s been another busy spell.”
