Rangers have been sensationally linked with a move for Saido Berahino this summer, with Steven Gerrard keen to give the striker a route out of Stoke City.
It remains to be seen if Berahino features in Gary Rowett’s plans at Stoke this summer, ahead of the new Championship season.
According to a report from Football Insider, Rangers have enquired about taking Berahino on-loan ahead of next season, moving ahead of a host of Championship clubs, who are monitoring the 24-year-old.
Berahino’s form has dipped in recent years and he is yet to score a goal for Stoke, who he joined back in January 2017.
The striker previously excelled at West Brom, but his recent form has seriously dented his reputation in the English game.
As expected, links between Berahino and Rangers have received plenty of reaction across social media, with many questioning why Gerrard is interested in the struggling striker…
Last goal: march 2016. Good luck to Steven Gerrard if he moves for him
