Sheffield Wednesday keeper Keiren Westwood has revealed that the play-off semi-final win over Brighton in 2016 was a special time.

The Owls, then managed by Carlos Carvalhal, reached Wembley after overcoming the Seagulls 3-1 on aggregate but the damage was done in the first-leg at Hillsborough when they won 2-0.

Kieran Lee scored the crucial second goal on the night and the club shared a clip of that goal on Twitter yesterday as they look back at some of their best moments with the football season halted.

And, it brought a response from Westwood, who starred for Wednesday that season, as he reflected on happy memories for the club.

"Typical @kieranlee1988 finish. Doesn’t miss them.. atmosphere was unreal, stadium was rocking. These two games against Brighton in the playoffs were special."

As you would expect, this brought plenty of responses from the fans, with some looking back at the night fondly, although others were disappointed to see just how far the club have fallen in the four years since.
