How Preston North End can have the perfect summer transfer window in 7 steps

Goalkeeper

As it stands, progressing into next season Preston don’t look to have any goalkeepers on their books.

Daniel Iversen has been in on loan from Leicester City this season and has made 46 appearances for the Lilywhites, whilst Connor Ripley hasn’t made any appearances this season and is out of contract this summer.

Ryan Lowe has already admitted they’re unlikely to see Inversen return to Preston next season meaning they are looking for a new number one.

Preston have been linked with Hull City’s Matt Ingram who, after falling out of favour to Chelsea loanee Nathan Baxter, went on an emergency loan to Luton Town and ended up playing for them in the play-offs.

It’s unknown whether the Tigers would be able to get Baxter back again next season but you can’t imagine Ingram will be keen to sit on the bench, therefore making a move possibly favourable to him.

Luton are also reported to be interested in the keeper, so Preston may face competition but if he’s being signed as a number one, it could help their case to sign him.
