QPR are a team who have enjoyed somewhat of a turnaround in form in the Championship in recent weeks and Ian Holloway did a good job of bringing new blood to the side this January as well.

In came the likes of Ravel Morrison, Matt Smith and Luke Freeman, all experienced players at this level who certainly know how to get results going forward, giving those at Loftus Road an added dimension.

Still, as in any squad when new players arrive, the pecking order changes and figures that were assumed first-team starters in the past are now struggling to make any sort of progress when the team-sheets are submitted before games.

With that in mind, one man that certainly could be applying to going forward is Idrissa Sylla, who has somewhat divided the Rs' faithful on occasions this season.

He's a player with huge potential, though one that hasn't delivered to on too many occasions this season.

So, with that in mind, here are THREE reasons why QPR forward Idrissa Sylla might not last all that long at Loftus Road...

He needs to make more for himself upfront

He's a player who has bags of potential, power and strength but at times, he really doesn't help himself with his movement and struggles to make an impact leading the line.

Is he out of his depth at QPR and even in England? Perhaps he is and, in which case, he won't last long in the slightest.

It's a tough old shout this but when you sign such a burly, powerful unit, you expect more and that's certainly the feeling surrounding Idrissa Sylla. It's a tough old job playing up front on your own but you need to create your own luck at times.

Enough goals? Certainly not.

The former Pro League forward arrived at Loftus Road with plenty of supporters feeling he could be the man to take them forward but quite simply, he's not scored enough goals.

As the big man up front, you've got to do as much as you can to play around the wingers and really move the ball around the forward line, things he's struggled to do that at times.

Six goals in the first six or so months of the season isn't going to rip the history books apart. With Matt Smith, Jamie Mackie and Conor Washington all on the books do QPR really need a man that isn't performing to his highest potential?

He's not an Ian Holloway player

Sadly, when managers move around, the long-term futures of individuals remaining at clubs is always going to change and you get the impression that could be the case with Idrissa Sylla.

He's not the sort of individual Holloway would have opted for had he been in charge at the start of the season and the work rate, endeavour and movement required by the new manager just doesn't seem to fit the Idrissa way of playing.
