There wasn’t much to be positive about for Leeds United on Saturday, with Marcelo Bielsa watching his side lose their second fixture of the Championship season against Blackburn Rovers.

Leeds were beaten 2-1 at Ewood Park, with the Whites conceding twice from corners and their general play letting them down.

However, one positive was the return of Pablo Hernandez, with the Spaniard stepping off the bench for a late cameo as Leeds looked to rescue a point.

It was the 33-year-old’s first appearance since August, and now, Bielsa has confirmed to the Yorkshire Evening Post that Hernandez is likely to start tomorrow evening against Ipswich Town.

Combined with the return of Kemar Roofe, Leeds’ attack is now looking strong, with Bielsa having plenty of options at his disposal.

With that in mind, we take a look at the attacking unit we are expecting Bielsa to field against Ipswich on Wednesday…

Saiz will operate in his usual attacking midfield role, with the Spaniard tasked with carrying Leeds from a deeper position.

He will line up alongside Mateusz Klich, but expect Saiz to be the more advanced of the two midfielders.

This was the position Hernandez thrived in before his injury and Bielsa will have him there once again.

Hernandez is a classy player who should have no problems fitting back into Bielsa’s system.

There’ve been calls for Alioski to move to left-back, but Bielsa prefers him in a more advanced position.

On the left, he offers good balance.

Roofe featured on the right against Blackburn and struggled.

It’s unlikely Bielsa will try that again and Roofe will return as the focal point of attack.

This quartet helped Leeds start the season magnificently and Bielsa will hope they can rediscover their best.
