Timm Klose was a late departure in the summer transfer window from Norwich City, as the defender left Carrow Road on a season-long loan.

The Swiss international opted to sign for FC Basel, in the hope of finding regular game time at a club competing in European competitions.

Klose made nine appearances for the Canaries last term, but it was a frustrating season for Daniel Farke's side, as they were relegated from the Premier League, after just a single season back in the top-flight.

As Norwich adjusted to life back in the second-tier of English football, player departures were always likely, and Klose signed on a season-long loan with the Swiss giants, a move which has the option of becoming a permanent one at the end of the 2020/21 campaign if Basel wish to do so.

Klose is yet to make an appearance for Basel, as they currently sit fifth in the Swiss Super League after the opening three matches of this year's campaign.

But the central defender is set to be ruled out for 14 days, as he recently tested positive for Covid-19, with Basel confirming the news on their social media not so long ago.
