Lee Bowyer’s Charlton Athletic head into tomorrow’s game against Derby County in need of a victory, with the Addicks having only picked up one win in their last five league outings.
With Phillip Cocu’s Derby County coming to the Valley, it represents a great chance for the south London side to get back to winning ways, with the Rams having so far struggled both on and off the pitch this term.
One player that Bowyer has had to do without in recent weeks is Lyle Taylor, who of course got off to a great start in the Championship this season, scoring five goals and assisting one in first six outings, before suffering an injury which has kept him out of action since September.
Who would you prefer in your team?
Today Charlton fans have given their views on whether they would rather have Taylor in their side or former front man Karlan Grant, who of course left the club last January for Huddersfield Town after scoring 21 goals in 98 games for the Addicks.
Here, we take a look at how fans responded to the question via social media.
Taylor for me. Lots of respect for Karlan but Lyle just offers more in terms hold up play/assists/work rate. You need play to Karlan’s strengths where as with Lyle you can go with any style/formation.

No brainer LYLE

How is this even a question.
Lyle made Karlan, Karlan does not hold the ball up well at all. Lyle is a totally different animal and twice the player Grant is off and on the ball.
No brainer imo for Lyle.
