Simon Moore was a constant in Sheffield United's rise from League One to the Premier League in three seasons and has shown his class since leaving the club at the start of this season.

Moore lost his place at Bramall Lane to Jamal Blackman in 2017/18 and was not able to reinstate himself as the club's number one with Dean Henderson and Aaron Ramsdale joining the club in the years that followed.

The 31-year-old joined Coventry City on a free transfer this summer and has played every minute of Championship action so far this season.

Four clean sheets in 11 games is not a bad return for a club many expected to be fighting a relegation battle this term but Moore's calmness at the back has helped build the platform that has seen the Sky Blues thrive at the top of the pitch.

With the likes of Callum O'Hare and Viktor Gyokeres firing on all cylinders Mark Robins' men sit third in the table during the second international break and Moore will be dreaming of earning a second promotion to the Premier League in his career.

Moore is faring extremely well particularly following the lack of game time he experienced with the Blades turning out just six times in the last three seasons.

It has been like the 31-year-old has never been away and if the start is anything to go by he will be a mainstay in goal at the CBS Arena for years to come.
