When you talk about Bolton Wanderers heroes from the last decade or two, Kevin Davies is right up there.

Davies was an influential figure during his time with the Trotters, and certainly goes down as one of the club's best ever strikers.

Bolton picked Davies up as a free agent in 2003 after he was released by Southampton, scoring nine goals in his first season with the club in the Premier League.

Eight goals were scored the following season and seven the next, but his best season in front of goal came in 2008/09 as he netted 11 goals in the top-flight.

Davies was a consistent source of goals for Bolton as they continually looked to battle the drop, and he left the club in 2013 having scored 84 games in over 400 appearances.

So what is Davies up to now?

Well, after leaving Bolton, he ended up signing a two-year deal with Preston North End, helping them win promotion to the Championship in 2014/15.

The following campaign, he announced his retirement from the game before venturing into management with Southport in October 2017.

Davies didn't last long at Southport, however, and having featured as a pundit for BT Sport in the National League on a few occasions, he is now running his agency which he set up in 2020 - KCD Management.
