Born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kazenga LuaLua moved to Newcastle shortly after he was born.

It is fair to say that the winger, who is the younger brother of Lomana LuaLua, and the cousin of both Tresor Kandol and Yannick Bolasie, was born into a family of talented footballers.

Adding to the football relations within his family, LuaLua is also the brother-in-law to former Bournemouth striker Yann Kermorgant.

His move to Newcastle was facilitated by his brother making the move to The Magpies, with Kazenga emerging as a part of the club's academy.

Continuing his progression with Newcastle, he became the club's second-youngest ever player to see first-team minutes at just 16 years and 27 days old.

Spending four professional years with The Magpies, LuaLua managed to make a mere 15 appearances, with loan spells with Doncaster Rovers and Brighton coinciding with his time at the Premier League club.

After consecutive loan spells at the south coast club, LuaLua's move was made permanent in November 2011.

The exciting winger spent seven years with Brighton, proceeding to play over 180 games for the now Premier League outfit, with LuaLua scoring 22 goals and adding a further 25 assists.

The skilful wideman then joined Sunderland for the second half of the 2017/18 campaign, but he made just six appearances before being released at the end of that season.

Luton Town then became his next destination, with The Hatters joining League One from the fourth-tier.

In 22 League One outings for the Bedfordshire club during their promotion-winning 2018/19 campaign, the 30-year-old started 10 games, scoring twice and providing a further nine assists.

Spending two more seasons with The Hatters in the Championship, LuaLua was released at the end of last term, with a move to Turkish second division club Gençlerbirliği materialising during the summer.

The winger, who has predominantly operated on the left during his career, has also been trusted on the opposite flank and in an attacking midfield role already this season.

LuaLua has two assists to his name in eight appearances thus far, with both of those coming in his last couple of games.
