Following the 2021/22 campaign, Crystal Palace decided to engage in a reasonable amount of transfer activity over the course of the summer window.

As well as securing the services of Malcolm Ebiowei, Sam Johnstone, Chris Richards and Cheick Doucoure, the Eagles allowed a number of players to leave the club.

One of the individuals who sealed a temporary exit from Selhurst Park last month was Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

Palace opted to sanction a season-long loan move for Rak-Sakyi to League One side Charlton Athletic.

Here, we have decided to take a look at how Rak-Sakyi has been getting on away from Palace at Charlton...

Before making his loan move to Charlton, Rak-Sakyi committed his long-term future to Palace by signing a five-year contract.

Having been deployed on two occasions by the Eagles in the Premier League last season, it was always going to be intriguing to see whether the winger would be able to immediately adapt to life in League One.

Handed his debut in Charlton's clash with Plymouth Argyle last month, Rak-Sakyi scored the opening goal for his new side in this particular fixture.

The Addicks went on to secure a 5-1 victory over the Pilgrims.

After representing Charlton in their clashes with Cambridge United and Walsall, Rak-Sakyi netted his second goal of the season during the club's meeting with Wycombe Wanderers.

Selected to start in the Addicks' showdown with Bolton Wanderers last weekend, the 19-year-old once again produced a promising display as he set up Scott Fraser's goal.

Despite taking the lead in this fixture, Charlton went on to suffer a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Ian Evatt's side.

When you consider that Rak-Sakyi is currently averaging an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.55 in League One, it wouldn't be at all surprising if he goes on to deliver another eye-catching performance on Saturday when Charlton face Exeter City.

An incredibly talented individual, the winger will be hoping to play a major role in helping Charlton achieve a great deal of success in the third-tier over the course of the coming months.

By featuring week-in, week-out for the Addicks, Rak-Sakyi will improve significantly as a player before returning to Palace next year.
