Phillip Cocu spent over a year in charge at Derby County and oversaw 65 matches before ultimately being relieved of his duties back in 2020.

The Rams started the manager's first campaign well and managed to climb into the top half of the division but from there, it was all downhill for the former player.

On average, he managed 1.28 points per match during his time at Pride Park - and it was a better record than he managed during his time in charge at Fenerbache.

However, it just wasn't to be with the club and with the side heading in the wrong direction. both parties ended up parting ways. But how has he fared ever since?

To be honest, the boss hasn't done much since he left the club.

In fact, he's been out of work since 2020 and although he has been linked with jobs in the interim - whenever there is an EFL vacancy, his name tends to be somewhere in the reckoning or at least in the bookies odds - he has yet to be handed his next role.

Cocu is definitely proven as a manager, having achieved great things with PSV in the past.

He oversaw 179 matches and averaged 2.22 points per game but it appears that some clubs have been put off by his last campaign in charge of Derby because he still hasn't found work.

It's been two years now for the manager and whilst he is still posting on Instagram, in terms of jobs there hasn't been any concrete rumours for a while now and no job to boot.

The former player likely won't be kept out of the game for much longer though and should be seen in a new managerial role in the future.
