Born in Okija, Nigeria, Bright Osayi-Samuel initially moved to Spain with his family, before touching down in England when he was 10 years old.

After initially moving to Woolwich in London, Osayi-Samuel concluded his years as a youth player with Blackpool.

Graduating through the club’s academy and into the first-team set up, the exciting winger made his debut during a narrow 1-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday as a 17-year-old.

Spending two-and-a-half professional years with The Seasiders, the 23-year-old netted five times and assisted six in 79 matches, and whilst these are not the most impressive numbers, he emerged as a constant threat and source of chances for his side.
