Championship outfit Leeds United look set for a summer of bids for under fire defender Giuseppe Bellusci - as sources at Tuttomercatoweb report that there are three Italian clubs plotting a move for the 26- year-old Italian.

Giuseppe Bellusci

Two of the clubs were unmentioned by TMW, however one of the clubs mentioned was Ascoli which is where Bellusci begun his football career before moving on to Italian counterparts Catania in 2009.

TMW also reports that there was interest from Hellas Verona in January, however Cellino insisted he wouldn't sell the talented centre back.

Bellusci made 134 appearances in Italy over eight years before moving to Leeds on a one-year loan deal with the option to buy, which controversial owner Massimo Cellino decided to activate precisely 9 days after bringing him in on loan.

Leeds reportedly paid in the region of a million for the centre back but seems to be out of favour to colleagues Sol Bamba and Liam Cooper in the present - costing too many errors for the Whites.

It seems Giuseppe's time in England may be coming to an end if the rumours are to be believed with an avalanche of bids set to come Leeds way.

However, if Leeds were to sell Bellusci they would need to identify a replacement as soon as possible for pre-season - who would help to command the back line for Steve Evans team as the Whites strive for a play-off place next season.
