According to sources close to HITC Sport, there are a number of clubs who are preparing a summer move for Nottingham Forest defender Michael Mancienne.
Michael Mancienne is out of contract in the summer and his contract situation is something that various clubs are monitoring.
As things stand, Mancienne is out of contract this summer.
But he centre back has been on the bench for the past few games because Nottingham Forest are wary of triggering an automatic contract extension clause in his current deal, which would see him stay for another twelve months.
If Nottingham Forest go down to League One, they might not be able to sustain the former England youth international’s wages so they are stalling.
As a result, numerous other clubs are circling Mancienne and are ready to swoop for the 29-year-old on a free transfer this summer.
The former Chelsea youngster has played just shy of 100 games for Forest since joining from Hamburg in summer 2014.
