A host of Championship sides are lining up moves for Real Madrid wonderkid Martin Odegaard, according to the Daily Mail.
The Norwegian youngster was thrown into the limelight last year after some impressive performances for the Norway national team, as well as for his club, Stromsgodset, also based in Norway.
After travelling Europe and going on trial at various clubs across the continent, the 16-year-old chose to sign for Real Madrid in January for £2.3 million, snubbing the likes of Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United.
However, the attacking midfielder has since grown frustrated with his lack of game time for the Real first team, his one appearance coming in the Champions League, where he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo from the bench.
He’s spent most of his career in Spain playing for Real Madrid Castilla, the club’s B team, but is unhappy about the quality of the opposition he’s up against in the Spanish third tier, and the lack of coverage the league gets.
