Sky Bet League One side Bradford City are bracing themselves for bids from Championship clubs who are interested in signing their talented striker Devante Cole, according to HITC Sport.
The son of legendary striker Andrew, signed for the Bantams on a free transfer in the summer after departing Manchester City and his five goals in eight games this term have caught the eye of second tier outfits.
Cole, 20, netted the winner in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers and is currently an England Under-20 international.
Having only just signed for the West Yorkshire club it is unlikely they will entertain any bids for their new kid on the block, but a bid of a certain amount may twist the club’s arm.
Phil Parkinson’s Bradford City currently sit in 15th place in Sky Bet League One, having accumulated 16 points from 12 league games so far this season.
It is not a surprise to see clubs from the second tier of English football keep tabs on the young striker, as he is clearly flourishing during his time at Valley Parade – and there is no reason why he can’t excel in the Sky Bet Championship.
Bradford fans… How would you assess Cole’s performances so far this season? Surely the club wouldn’t sell him yet? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
