According to a reliable journalist, Remie Streete is likely to be a wanted man this summer.
Pete O’Rourke, formerly of Sky Sports News, tweeted to say that Remie Streete had agreed a deal with Port Vale to leave the club on a free.
Streete has been released by “mutual consent” and will be available to snap up as a free agent this summer.
The 22-year-old is attracting interest from both Championship and League One clubs, according to Pete O’Rourke.
The former Newcastle United academy product joined Port Vale in 2015 after a previous loan spell with the Valiants.
The young centre half has played over 50 games for Port Vale in his two seasons with the club but he now has been released after Vale’s relegation to League Two.
Manager Michael Brown could not afford his wages and Streete will now be free to join another team with Championship and League One clubs lurking.
